Angeline began her career as a bass player in the San Francisco Bay Area shortly after graduating from UC Berkeley. Leaving behind a career in law, she followed her passion and began turning what had always been a hobby into a profession. Working her way into the music scene, Angeline started with a weekly jazz gig at a local restaurant. Already schooled in theory from her years in both high school and college jazz groups, Angeline was soon invited out to play with local jazz/hip-hop group, Surreal. It was here that she met Uriah Duffy. When not playing bass for Whitesnake and Lyrics Born, Uriah is one of the top calls for bassists in the Bay Area. He took Angeline under his wing and showed her the ways of a professional gigging musician, while also getting her bass chops up to speed through frequent private lessons. It was soon after this fated meeting that Angeline was filling in for Uriah on many of his local Bay Area gigs.
Now, in less than 3 years, Angeline has become one of the Bay's busiest bass players. From jazz to speed metal, R&B to rock, Cuban to Hip-hop, and Flamenco to rockabilly, Angeline has done it all. It is this versatility, as well as her rock solid time and tastefully crafted bass lines that have helped her keep busy. She can be found working as a hired gun both in the studio and out live, playing with one of her regular groups (Flametal, Jesse Brewster, Cuban Cowboys, Greg Scott Band), and now teaching at Bananas At Large.
