Erik Schramm - Guitar

Genres: Teaches most Musical Genres, no Classical Guitar

Erik Schramm has been a part of the Bay Area music scene for almost 30 years. He travels the U.S. regularly with the band Super Diamond and gigs and records with a myriad of Bay Area and national talent. His guitar work has been featured in commercials for The America’s Cup, NASCAR, Apple Computer, The San Francisco Film Festival and many others. As a player (and guitar tech in years passed) he has thousands of hours of practical experience and insight into every aspect of performance and recording.

Erik teaches private lessons in San Francisco as well as Summer Camp Sessions at Blue Bear School Of Music. He is patient and compassionate, teaching beginners and intermediate/advanced players and tries to make learning guitar and music what it is for him- exciting and fun!

He tailors his lessons to the student and their skill level, teaching songs the students select, incorporating theory, reading, and ear training. He also has an extensive knowledge of vintage and modern guitar gear and can help you discover the sound you are looking for.

Some of the people Erik has played on stage with over the years are Clarence Clemons (The E Street Band), Steve Morse (Dixie Dregs), Neil Diamond, Vince Charles (Neil Diamond, The Beach Boys), Gary Myrick, Neal Schon (Journey), Steve Kimock (Zero), Mark Karan (The Other Ones, Rat Dog), Vernon Black (Mariah Carey, Herbie Hancock), Chris Hayes (Huey Lewis & The News), Mario Cippolina (Huey Lewis), Narada Michael Walden (Jeff Beck, Weather Report), Kevin & Brad Russell (Clarence Clemons, Jersey Boys) and Kevin Hayes (Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, John Lee Hooker).
