The Mission VM-PRO-PZ is the worlds only professional quality volume pedal specifically designed for use with instruments with piezo-electric pickups. Piezo-electric pickups are used with acoustic instruments such as acoustic and resonator guitars, upright basses, mandolins, banjos, violins, violas and cellos. recently many electric guitars have also added Piezo-electric pickups along with their traditional magnetic pickups to expand on the range of tones available from the instrument. Conventional guitar volume pedals are not designed to work with the outputs from these pickups and if used can result in a significant reduction in frequency response and thus poor sound quality.
The Mission VM-PRO-PZ can be used with any Piezo electric pickup on almost any instrument without any signal loss. A studio quality on board buffer helps preserve the natural tone of the acoustic instrument even when using long cable runs and intermediate devices such as compressors and reverb units. The isolated tuner out lets you connect up an electronic tuner so you can tune your instrument without the presence of the tuner circuitry detracting from the sound quality. You can also use the volume pedal to reduce or completely mute the volume while tuning, which is great for live use.
- High input impedance specifically matched for Piezo electric pickups.
- Sparkle switch restores brightness when rolling back volume.
- On board professional quality buffer and line driver for reliable interfacing, and maintaining frequency response with long cables and external devices.
- Isolated tuner out.
- Road ready all metal chassis in choice of black or red finishes.
The VM-PRO is powered by an included 9V internal battery accessible from a battery door on the bottom plate for easy changing. It can also be powered by an external power supply. The power circuit is very flexible and can accept between 9 and 18VDC supplies. Using a higher output supply will increase the headroom which may be useful for very high level inputs. The VM-PRO uses a standard barrel power connector and is protected against reverse voltage.
