Lessons Portal Info

Welcome to Bananas at Large's new lessons schedule and billing platform supported by Opus1! Below you will find a walk through of how to access your account and hopefully answer any questions you have about accessing you (or your child's) information and schedule. 

LOGGING IN FOR FIRST TIME

When your account is created, you will receive a Welcome email like the one below. You will click on "My Account", which will give you the ability to set a password for your account access. Your username will be your email address. Once set, you will be prompted to log in with your new password. 

MAIN ACCOUNT SCREEN

After you are logged in, you will see your main account screen like this below. It will allow you to see your upcoming lessons listed, your active subscriptions (if you are a weekly or bi-weekly student), and invoices (paid, unpaid, and upcoming). If you are an Account Manager (parent or caregiver), you will see the "Dependents" listed there & can click on their profile to access their schedule. 

Your Upcoming Schedule will display the lesson dates, times, and have a cancellation button visible. Credits will only show if something has been cancelled and needs to be credited to the next months invoice. Subscriptions (if applicable) will show you the current plan for your account. 

In the image below, you can see the colored arrows indicating what each of the icons on your profile means. 

  1. Update Profile : you can update all the personal details for your account. Please make sure that the email and phone number on file is correct and in place so we can contact you if anything changes. 
  2. Update Payment Method : you can add a new payment method and remove an old one. Remember, this must be done from the Account Managers profile, not the dependent (f that is applicable to you). If you want to add secondary payment methods or one that will switch between two payment cards, you can do that as well. 
  3. Show Details: will show or hide personal details on your profile page
  4. Add a Dependent: if you have another student/child to add and schedule lessons for, you can add them here. You will have to be in their profile to schedule a lesson for them.
  5. Manage Files: Here is where you can access any PDF's or files from your teachers
  6. Change Password : you can update your password for the account. 
  7. Sync Calendar: You can sync your personal calendar with the lessons calendar so you can keep up with lessons on your schedule. 
  8. Change Time zone: if applicable. 

In the Comments section, if you leave a comment, the staff member will be notified and it will be visible to the Lesson Administrator. Do not rely on comments left as cancellation notice - cancellation must be done either in the portal OR by emailing lessons@bananas.com or texting 415-457-7600. 

LESSONS SCHEDULE, SUBSCRIPTIONS & INVOICES

Once lessons are set up for you (or your child), the schedule should look like this - showing upcoming dates, the subscription (weekly lesson set up), and the most recent or upcoming invoice.

Keep in mind that invoices will be processed automatically on the 2nd of the month for all lessons in that particular month. If your lesson day is Friday and there are 5 Fridays that month, the invoice will reflect payment for 5 lesson days. If you cancel a lesson before the invoice is processed, it will reflect the remaining lesson dates owed. If you cancel a lesson after the invoice has been processed, the credit will roll over to the next invoice for the following month (if cancelled outside of 48hr policy). 

If your child has lessons with more than one teacher, you can click on the Staff Profile at the top of your screen (their picture) to show only the lessons scheduled with that teacher. 

CANCELLATIONS

If you need to cancel an upcoming date, you simply need to hit the "Cancel" button on that particular date. Be aware that if the cancellation is less than 48hrs ahead of the lesson, you will not receive an invoice credit to the following month. 

If you accidentally cancel a date, please reach out to lessons@bananas.com and we can reinstate the lesson for you.

INVOICES

If you would like to view or download paid invoices, you simply need to click on "See All Invoices" and it will allow you to choose particular invoices and view or save as a PDF for your records.
