The Masterworks Series is Alvarez's best value all solid guitar line in the market today. Their specification is incredibly high in relation to their cost and they perform as all solid professional guitars should, with fantastic response and projection.

The term “all solid” of course refers to the guitar top, back and sides being made of solid wood rather than laminated. However, just because the guitar is made of all solid tonewood, it only performs to its full potential when it is designed to get the best out of its materials and components. As the tops Alvarez uses in Masterworks are very high quality, they can make them a little thinner to heighten vibration. The radius of both the top and back are also refined to help increase volume.

Each guitar is designed to get the best out of its components, and for them to work together. These components include their FS6 bracing system, bi-level bridges, real bone nuts and saddles, carefully seasoned tonewoods and a thin finish.

FS6 is a forward shifted X brace design, this means the axis of the X is closer to the sound hole and therefore creates a larger soundboard area allowing for more energy and vibration to be harnessed. Both the X braces and asymmetric tone bars are carefully scalloped. The scalloping design was the result of continual development in their Yairi workshops.

The Masterworks personality is open and powerful. FS6 also creates very good balance so both the treble and bass registers are clearly present and balanced in relation to each other. All of their tops are selected by their team and graded independently of their suppliers and are cured with care using traditional ovens and modern thermo-kilns.

Along with a more angled headstock, their bi-level bridge increases string tension by making the break angel of the strings from the saddle to the top more acute. Improved string tension adds to their sound, feel and response, which are also heightened by the use of real bone nuts and saddles.

Masterworks Series also demonstrates their great finishing capabilities; the gloss models have a clear deep shine from a finish that is applied as thinly as possible, again to help optimize tone.

   1. Curbside Contactless Pickup: When you arrive at the store location, call us and we will bring your order out to verify your ID, place in your vehicle and you're ready to go!
   2. Pick up In Store: Come into the store, show your ID, and pick up your order.

How does it work?

After you place your order online, the selected store receives your order. Then the merchandise is selected from the store's current inventory and prepared for pick up. If the items are located at another store, there may be a longer wait time as we need to transfer it to the pickup location of your choice. This is all part of our free service. We'll contact you when it's ready and notify you if anything changes. Once your order is ready, you can choose to come into the store to pick up your order OR call us when you arrive and we will provide Contactless Curbside Pickup at your vehicle.

Most orders are ready within 24 hours; however, please allow for extra processing time depending on the item, size of order, and store location. If you need to pick up your order sooner, please give us a call at either location.

Shipping items with tubes

Bananas does not warranty tubes in transit. We offer tube removal and individual bubble wrap service for $45 per customer request (for standard amps, more complex amps that take more time may be a higher fee). Customers buying any tube product and having it shipped should understand and realize that Bananas cannot be responsible for damaged tubes from transit. This applies to all new and used products. Certain manufactures offer a tube warranty on their new products as a courtesy, and that is available thru the manufacturer warranty process for all new products where it applies.

What if I need to return my product? 

If you return your product, Bananas returns the money you paid for the product protection plan. Depending on how much time has passed since your purchase, Extend may issue a prorated refund. 

Shipping protection is non-refundable. 

Am I able to cancel my Extend protection plan? 

Yes. If you decide you do not want to continue with the Extend Product Protection plan, you can cancel for a full refund within the original manufacturer's warranty period. Product protection plans can also be canceled after the Extend protection plan has started. Depending on how much time has passed since your purchase, Extend may issue a prorated refund.
