The 1997 Gibson Custom 1958 Les Paul Historic Reissue (R8) is an early, highly collectible era model featuring a solid mahogany body, carved maple top, and a chunky '58 neck profile.

Built during the formative years of Gibson's Historic program (often referred to then as the Custom Art Historic division), this '58 reissue captures the look, feel, and authoritative sustain of the original late-50s burst era. It features a substantial vintage-style neck carve, warm midrange response, and a gorgeous finish highlighting the carved maple top.

This guitar has been Upgraded with Bare Knuckles VHII pickups installed, upgraded electronics, and upgraded tuning machines. All original components are included in case.
