The 2002 Gibson J-185 EC Quilt Top Natural is a rare acoustic-electric jumbo guitar. It pairs a 16 in. jumbo body style and a Venetian cutaway with high-end quilted maple wood, delivering a bright, focused tone and smooth upper-fret access.

Built by Gibson Acoustic in Bozeman, Montana, the J-185 EC combines the comfort of a scaled-down jumbo body with premium visual aesthetics. The natural gloss nitrocellulose finish highlights the highly figured, three-dimensional quilted maple. It features elegant cream multi-ply binding and a striking abalone rosette around the soundhole. Designed for stage performance as well as studio recording, it retains a rich acoustic voice while offering reliable onboard Fishman/Gibson electronics.
